In-Life vs. End-of-Life Retirement
Retire Every 3 seeks to redefine the why and when of retirement, and to accomplish this there’s a need to differentiate between an in-life and end-of-life retirement. While they are similar, they serve two distince purposes.
In-life retirements are there to propel our lives forward in whichever way we feel most necessary. They are about taking the time to be better, live healthier, do good works, gain wealth, and support our communities. They are chances to chase down dreams we though were lost to the
End-of-life retirements is society’s traditional view of how we spend out last years. Whether that’s with grandkids, sipping pina colodas on a Caribbean island, or road tripping cross-country in an RV, our end-of-life retirement is all about enjoying the fruits of our 40-plus years of work. It’s a reward, the stuffed animal after tossing the ring around the bottle at the fair.
